Risley Padula Construction Inc. started installing interior trim in Wilmington in 1998. We began by using local lumber yards to supply our materials. As we grew our business, the local yards could no longer service our volume. As installers, we needed the materials to be delivered correctly and efficiently for us to finish the job as scheduled. We realized we needed more control over the material.
Coastal Millwork Supply Co. was started by the founders of Risley Padula Construction in 2005, with Risley Padula as its only customer. It stayed this way for several years as we refined our processes. Coastal Millwork began pre-hanging interior doors and prepping materials to speed up field installation, along with prebuilding cabinets, mantles, and bench seats in house. Our focus has always been providing the installers at Risley Padula what they needed to be efficient on their jobs.
Soon, several area builders approached us about supplying materials for their carpenters to install. They recognized that our model was different and could increase their efficiency on the job site. We began selling trim packages to local building professionals.
As we look to the future, we continue to innovate and grow. We view the world through the eyes of the installer, and we know what it takes to deliver what they need.
